fotoTEXT ?
What do I like most about my series of photos?
What I like most about my three photos was that the two of them weren't like anyone else's photos. The one of them was kind of like the majority done by the class (the first one), but the other two were very unique styles which made me rather proud. I especially like the last picture because it was relatively simple but it was my favorite of the three because it was comepletely unique to my knowledge.
What do I like least about my series of photos?
What I like least about the three photos is that they are all for the most part simple. Although the second photo, the water reflection, was quite time consuming, it looks overly simple and basic. As well, but not as much, with the last photo. I wish that I would have done something more complex.
Which photo was overall most successful of the three and why?
In my opinion the most successful photo was the last photo because it has the most visual interest for the viewer. With the brushes around the words and the way that I dodged the background where the letters were. The last photo was definitely my favorite.

zoom zoom ..
What I like
I like the general I idea that I had for this invention. I thought it would really benifit society and that it would possibly "change the world" like DaVinci had done with his works.
What I dislike
I dislike how the actual car turned out. It isn't very visually attractive as I thought it would be. I wish it had more dimension and that it had better painting. Also, it didn't like that the sculpture I made didn't show how cool my idea was. I also had features like a special magnetic saftey device to replace seatbelts, I had a computer system on the inside that controlled everything such as direction, music, heat, windsheild wipers etc.
What I would change
If or , more likely, when I redo this assignment I will change the general look of the car. I will make it smoother and give it more "gadgets". I will change the painting of the vehicule and I will have other objects added in to show the cool abilities it has.

Pan's Labyrinth ♥
1) What are three things that can make the movie be considered as an ART movie?
Pan's Labyrinth can be considered an art movie because it isn't directed at a broad audiance like most Hollywood movies are. It leaves more parts of the movie open to questioning while Hollywood movies are for the most part straightforward and understood. It was also very honest while mainstream movies would hide or ignore more gruesome or ugly facts about the time period or place.
2) How is this movie perhaps more creative than most mainstream movies?
This movie is perhaps more creative in my opinion because it uses characters and honesty that mainstream movies might not expand on. For example, the creature in the second task with the eyes on his hands was not something you would necessarly see in a mainstream movie.
3) Did you like or dislike this movie overall? Please fully explain your opinion.
I very much enjoyed this movie. I loved the honesty and the sincerity that was used to show the way it was in the war. I also loved the fantasy side of the movie because that is the type of movies I enjoy. Like being in a different world.

D-D-Da Vinci !
1. I think that Da Vinci invented things that he did because he loved technical problems. All of the sketches he had of inventions, most of which were later completed with small changes, helped or saved people ( eg. tank, scissors, parachute, diving suit ..).
2. In my opinion, the air craft (he made many designs) had the most impact on humanity because it is now a secondary form of transportation. It makes it possible to get across the world in a matter of days instead of years and allows for alot more possibilities for people.
THREE INVENTION IDEAS
Magnetic hover car and personal hover board. *
Personal paper recycler. (takes in paper scraps, receits etc and ejects plain or coloured paper)
Personal Sun (natural light that hovers where you put it, no heat)

Sculpture me this;
My name is Leaf-lee.
What I like about this piece is the patterns and colours on his feet and back. I like how the two merge into each other and how it makes him look very organic. I also like that I used a realistic texture for the inside of his mouth.
I dislike his eyes most of all. His eyes look rushed and too bright. They take the attention away from the rest of him which I like so much better. I also dislike how smooth-looking he is.
I would change the colours and patterns I use for his eyes and maybe the shape of the pupil as well. I would also change his body shape and give him more texture on his body. I would also give him a bit of a different background because you can't see the amount of detail in the teeth with this one.

Rotoball Conceptualized !
A ball gets passed to you as you are jumping in puddles outdoors. You catch it, and it transform into butterflies as you catch them. It transforms back when I catch them all in a net and gets passed on to the next person.

Barbara Kruger Style Picture
What I like.
The elements I like about this is firstly, the direction of the words. In my opinion, the direction makes the eye travel across the picture better than if they had been solely in a horizontal line across the edges like I was originally going to do or being choppy or sporatic across the page. I also like how the word "ghosts" is highlighted by there being no box around the word and the letters are a different colour.
What I dislike.
The elements I dilike in this photo are how the black and white took away alot of the feeling for me in the original picture. I also dislike that the word "prisoner" makes my eye kind of stop in the middle of the image. If there was a way to keep the direction of the words but not making my eye hesitate on "prisoner" then I would like the picture much better.
The message.
The message I am trying to express with this image and these words is that when somone is abused by a family member or a romantic partner at a relatively young age, the horrors stay with you as you grow up, no matter if much better things have happened to you since then. You are literally haunted by your past and it affects your life.

Barbara Kruger
What do you see in this piece of art (describe it)?
I see two empty, expensive shoes.
What kind of message is the artist giving in this piece of art?
The message in this picture is that how much money you had during your life doesn't matter after your death.
Do you like or dislike Kruger’s work? Why?
I like Barbara Kruger's work because it gives a specific, outright message. I also like the images because they are a little random but also give the words much more meaning.

My Alter Ego
What I like about this picture is the softness to it. I like that I used two pictures of myself (the photo booth pictures of me, Rebecca and my boyfriend, and the picture of my boyfriend and I in the sky). I also liked background picture I used. Somewhere like that would be my ultimate happy place.
What I find least successful about this picture is how, there is no other way to put it, boring it is. I also don't think that it accurately described my Alter Ego as completely as I would have liked.
If I could redo this project, I would add more photos to the picture. I would take my already written Alter Ego guidelines into account while making the picture and I would also give myself more time to work on it. I will also consider not starting over so many times..

Exploring my Alter Ego
What are five interesting things that most people don't know about you?
The first thing that few people know about me is I am a bit shy. Also, I am quite terrified of the dark. Another thing is that I am a hopeless romantic and I love all that "mushy-gushy nonsense" that you see in romance movies. My favorite way to spend my time is to be sitting outside in the summer on my porch, during a thunderstorm because I think the power of summer storms is quite beautiful. And my last thing that not many people know is that my only real goal for the future is that I want to be a mother.
What are three things that your friends would say about your personality? What are the opposite to these things?
Three things that my friends would say about my personality is that, for one, I am very sarcastic all the time. Also, ask any of my friends and they will tell you that I am very outgoing and love talking to and meeting new people. The last thing I believe my friends would say is that I love nature and being outdoors. The opposites to sarcastic, outgoing, and creative would be upfront, introverted, and be an indoors kind of person.
What are your five biggest goals/dreams for your future (they don’t have to be totally realistic)?
My first and number one goal, as I mentioned above, is to be a mother. The second is more in the near future; I want to get into the University of Western Ontario to study Art Therapy in two years. The third is for after I graduate with a degree, I want to eventually have my own Art Therapy practice. Goal number four is I want to go on a three month trip to Europe to explore. My fifth and last dream is to someday settle down in a big brick house in the country side with a fire place and lots of windows.
My alter ego would be tranquil, shy and be a mother. My alter ego would like watching romance movies, want to travel the world, and love sitting by a window, watching a summer thunderstorm or relaxing on a quiet beach.
